The 2008 HWA Weekend promises to be the biggest and the most complete gathering of Heisman Winners in history. It is anticipated that as many as 30 past winners of the Heisman Trophy™ will gather at the Barton Creek Resort & Spa for a weekend of golf, tennis, relaxation, and entertainment including golf and dinner events that are open to individual and corporate participation.
The HWA will also celebrate the accomplishments of three college football legends: Army’s Pete Dawkins, Nebraska’s Mike Rozier and Texas’ Ricky Williams.

The World Series of Golf next year in Las Vegas will cost $200,000 to enter and offer a $1.5 million payout for the winner. Organizers think they can find 25 players willing to ante up the $200,000 entry fee.
